The Idea Was Born...
We dreamed FILOROSSO up during a pandemic, amid a global climate crisis. Sitting on the coast of Italy, looking out toward home, we felt an urgent need to make things that matter. To contribute to a better model of living.
We're on a mission to inspire the future of design and model an example for the world.
Be of use. Make beautiful things. Tell human stories. We are all connected.
He is the craftsman...
Hailing from a historic family of craftsman in the Carinthia region of Austria, Andreas Pichler is no stranger to the beauty of craft. A maker in every sense, he has launched successful entrepreneurial endeavors in a myriad of industries. From hand-making violins, custom designing electric guitars, the creation of the legendary Foil Skis, and partnerships with the likes of Rolls Royce and Louis Vuitton, Andreas is a master of craft and the product visionary behind every FILOROSSO project.
She is the storyteller
From a small age, Christine Ahanotu had stories in her blood. A curious and creative mind, she was born to an immigrant Nigerian father and an Irish mother in a small town outside of Boston, MA. After moving across the country to pursue a career in film, she realized her true calling was in encapsulating and sharing the human experience and inspiring the masses through projects that idealize a sustainable, resilient future.
Now a producer with a major studio, she believes FILOROSSO stands at the front of a global change towards circularity. Through a mix of video, written and experiential media, she tells the story of each piece and its deep connection to the social, environmental and human issues that make up the world today.
Circular life is the beginning and end of all our products. Made from materials destined for a landfill or worse.
Each collection is finite, and unique, based on the materials presented by our partners.
Each product is designed by a skilled craftsman who has learned from the best and passed his knowledge on to others.
